Carifesta Music & Arts Festival will be celebrated on Saturday August 6th from 12pm – 8pm. It is FREE, family friendly, and will be held at Granville Gude Park, 8300 Mulberry St, Laurel, MD 20707. The festival will be attended by some 5,000 patrons, celebrating the Caribbean-American and African heritage of the English, Spanish, French, and Dutch speaking Caribbean and African diaspora. The City of Laurel and its surrounding areas, boasts a very diverse Caribbean and African community. RSVP for FREE TICKETS.…lawn chairs and yoga mats welcomed.

Twenty-eight Caribbean nations will be highlighted including, Anguilla, Antigua, Barbuda, Aruba, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands,

Cayman Islands, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republican Republic, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Netherland Antilles,

Puerto Rico, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, & the Grenadines, Suriname,Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, and the US Virgin Islands.

Live performances by SERANI, RICARDO DRUE, Eclipse Band, Ras Slick & The Dutty BusCrew, Wentworth Richardson, Marcy, Wonda Boi, and Emmy B, along with DJs Super Slice, Fyah Oats, Ablaze, Smally, and Max The Blazer, playing the best in reggae, soca, afrobeat, zouk, kompa, salsa, and meringue.
